Sire of the Year

Each year at the National Stallion Show in March, The Danish Warmblood Breeding Commission nominates the "Sire of the Year". The owner of the stallion receives the Challenge Cup of Peder Hostrup Pedersen, one of the persons founding the society, along with a reproduction of an oil painting of the stallion.
The title "Sire of the Year" is given to a breedsire who has had extraordinary good results as a breedsire and/or through own sport results in the past year.

In 2020 the Sire of the Year is Sezuan DVE 1110
